Symbol of the Week:
Today’s symbol is a rainbow. A rainbow represents a special promise that God made to us.
Overview of Today's Lesson: God's Promises
Introduce the concept of Lent as a time of preparation for the great feast of Easter. Encourage your children to try their best to get closer to God during this time. We encourage and challenge you to make the most of the season of Lent in your own home. Our overall theme for Lent is PROMISE. Each week we will explore some part of the promise between God and us. Today we talked about the promise that God has made to each of us and the concept of two sides to an agreement (promise)
The Kids' Bulletin - Good Intro (PRINT)
The back page of this kids bulletin (linked below) is also a great introduction to the lesson each week.
Print this 4-page bulletin (double-sided) for each child. Each week there's a summary of the lesson, two activities and a comic about a Saint. To print, click the link and select download (You can also view it full screen). Save these in a folder to look back on as the week's go on. This is also a great thing to read at the beginning as an introduction as you color the symbol of the week.
For the younger kids, print out a coloring page from Holy Heroes (Find later in the email)
